Suzy Brown, the founder and principal of the school, has a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Language and Literacy.  Mrs. Brown is a licensed teacher with 9 years of elementary teaching experience in the public school system in Texas, USA. She also worked for two years at the University of Texas as a student-teacher trainer, observing, evaluating, and advising teacher trainees, and ultimately deciding whether they were ready to graduate and receive a state teacher's license.  Mrs. Brown has been teaching English part-time for 18 years at Yamanashi Eiwa College in Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan.  While living in Japan, Mrs. Brown homeschooled her three boys using English curriculum. The oldest is studying for his Ph.D and is teaching full time at a university in Kofu. The next boy has a B.A. and is teaching English in Kofu, and the youngest has graduated high school and is making plans to attend college in Tokyo.

Christian Brown teaches full time in the intermediate grades, 3 and 5, and physical education to all grades.  He has a BA in Communications from Dallas Baptist University and has had over 10 years of teaching in Japan.  The students love him and he is a dedicated, gifted teacher.

Claudia Stadius is a trained, licensed teacher.  She teaches  K/1. Her BS is in education and has over 13 years of experience teaching in Japan. She is a gifted teacher and we are blessed to have her with us.

Consultant for NLIS and pastor of New Life International Church, Danny Brown, has a B.A. in Religious Studies, an M.A. in Teaching E.S.L., and a Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education.  Dr. Brown has been a full-time English teacher at Yamanashi Eiwa College for 19 years.  Dr. and Mrs. Brown are married and work closely together in planning NLIS.

Japanese teachers are Megumi Watanabe and Minori Orii.  Mrs. Watanabe has a teacher's license and years of teaching experience. Mrs. Orii graduated from Yokohama National University and will be a great asset to our school.  We are very blessed to have such gifted teachers in our school!

Stephen Veale is our chaplain.  He teaches the children stories from the Bible.  He is an experienced teacher from New Zealand.

Aiko Veale is our accountant and secretary.  She is an experienced bookkeeper and teacher, as well.  She can answer any questions in Japanese, as needed.

For our full time teachers, we hire only native English speaking teachers with education training and/or experience.  Our goal is for all our full time teachers to have a license or a Master's degree.  This is a requirement for our accreditation. They must also be active, church-going Christians.
